Part of the 17th Deaf Festival week in the De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies is a demo of the Video Relay Service (VRS). VRS is a video-telecommunication service that allows deaf, and hard-of-hearing individuals to communicate over video telephones and similar technologies with hearing people in real-time, via a sign language interpreter. It will be on from November 15 to 18, 2011, 11:00-3:00pm, at PEN-MLC hall. On November 19, 2011, 4:00-9:00pm, display will be brought to the ARG Theater, Taft Campus, CSB.
This will definitely be very useful to Deaf students to have access to communication thru interpreting service and would serve as a bridge between deaf and hearing people in and outside CSB.

For Deaf and Hearing community, please pass this to your hearing friends and especially family members about the benefits of VRS. This is to advocate and be aware of the big impact of Video Relay Service in Deaf access to communication in the Philippines.
