Seminar Empower: Sharing lesson From DDW (Discovering Deaf Worlds) Part II

The Discovering Deaf Worlds (DDW) hosted the EMPOWER Community Program in which 10 Filipino Deaf leaders and one hearing advocate went to USA for a cross- cultural exchange from May 5 - 26, 2013, at the Rochester, New York and Washington, D.C. 

Similar number of American participants will join this program and will go to Philippines in November 2013. The aim of the program is for Filipino and American participants to share and exchange knowledge and understanding on Deaf education, policy,  advocacy,  culture, organizational development, and community services. DDW collaborates with the Philippines for the improvement and better equality of Deaf lives and communities.

Million People March: Seeing Green in a Sea of White

 Last August 26, National Heroes Day, Deaf Benildeans joined the rest of De La Salle Philippines Family in the "Million People March" in Luneta to protest the misuse of government funds and call for the end of pork barrel.
