Last November 10, 2011, Thursday, Mr. George Taylor, a Deaf Manager of the GreenVas Company, requested De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) to have a meeting regarding the presentation of the Virtual Relay Demo with V-Pad at Career Placement Office. We discussed about the VRS project and the set-up of the VRS station. In addition, he donated the V-Pad to SDEAS in CSB campus to be used and exhibited on the Deaf Festival week of November 2011 for the advocates and awareness of VRS. Moreover, the GreenVas Company has plans of making a Memorandum of Agreement to be signed soon for partnership with DLS-CSB regarding the use of the VRS.
There were about six representatives from different schools and centers that were present in the demonstration set-up: Raphy Domingo for Center for Education Access and Development, Franz Mendoza for College for Institutional Communication, Joy Semana for Information Technology Department and Danny Bautista for ITD-ACTC, Chris Manlapaz for School of Hotel Restaurant and Information Management, Guy Noel Ganados, Diana Pria Banas, Charvie Arreola, Ferdinand Vizmanos, Leo Sulse, Giselle Montero, Mackie Calbay and Dean Ma. Veronica Templo-Perez for SDEAS with interpreter Kathy Taylor.
